Rules and Online Applications
1.The talent show is open to all ages 6 and above. There will be three age divisions and contestants will compete only with those in the same age division. Divisions will be: Junior 6-12 years of age, Teen 13-18 years of age, and Adult 19 and above.
2. The talent show is open to both individuals and groups. A person may appear in only one act.
3. Contestants must perform one (1) act of their choice for the audition. However,they must perform two (2) acts if chosen in the Top 5 finalists (from each category) for the competition on Saturday, May 24th. The contestants must choose a slow tempo performance and a up tempo performance.
4. Auditions will be held on Friday, April 25th at the Club Calumet in Sturgeon Falls at 7:00 pm.
5. From the auditions, 15 total finalists (5 in each division) will be selected to compete on the evening of Saturday, May 24th 2008 at the Sturgeon Falls Recreation Complex at 7:00 pm.
6. A CD player and a sound system will be provided. All recorded material to be used must be on CD. No other equipment will be provided.
7. Each of the selected contestants to appear during the Talent show evening MUST report to the Stage area one hour prior to the start of the talent show. Make sure you check in with the person in charge backstage. (Julie Joseph)
9. First place winners in each category are only eligible to win for one (1) year and are not eligible to enter the following year.
A. The contestants will be judged by a four judge panel selected by the Huntington Society Nipissing Chapter. Judges’ decisions will be final.
B. Prize money will be paid when winners are announced on stage.
C. Talent will be judged on the following criteria:
Poise (confidence, cover mistakes well, etc.) 10 points
Physical Appearance (neatness, costuming) 10 points
Stage Presence (audience appeal, smile) 10 points
Overall Impression 20 points
Talent (music, ability, coordination, etc.) 50 points

Please be on time for the auditions as there will be many participants. Be ready with all of your equipment (CD, etc.) when you are called for your audition. From the auditions, 15 total finalists (5 in each division) will be selected to compete during the evening of Saturday, May 24th. Please read all rules attached to this application.
